I took the road bike out for the first time this year. Rode 66 clicks, felt cold, tired, hungry but couldn't stop smiling. The ride to Golf Course Road in Newcastle and circling down to the lake has some spots that are wind swept, up and down and with very rough pavement. Good stuff.

1.5 hours today. Windy, cold, sunny, dry roads, fun. The singlespeed is tough to ride against the wind.

Another 2 hours on the singlespeed today. Dry roads except for some tree covered areas and the Darlington Trails. I even had to walk a little.

2009.1

This is my quest to ride my bike 100 times this year. Indoor and rides under one hour don't count. Today, 2 hours on sloppy roads, at least it wasn't cold.
